Full Time Split Shift Nanny/ Family Assistant

Summary:
This full-time, split-shift nanny and family assistant position is with a private family seeking a warm, energetic, and proactive caregiver to become a long-term part of their household. The schedule is Monday through Friday with guaranteed hours, covering a morning shift and an afternoon/evening shift, with some flexibility on exact times for the right person, occasional later evenings for date nights, and periodic weekend event help. The role is live-out, though the family is open to a live-in candidate comfortable with housework and cooking, and willingness to travel with the family to their second home during summers and school breaks, where private accommodations are provided and hours are lighter, is a strong plus. **Fluency in Spanish or Persian/Farsi is required, as the nanny will speak the language with the children throughout the day to support their bilingual development. **House Manager and Housekeeper already on staff.

Required Skills:
The role centers on two school-aged children and includes preparing breakfast, morning hair care, packing lunches, and making sure the children are ready with outerwear, water bottles, and snacks for their activities. Afternoons and evenings include school and activity pickups and drop-offs, active and creative play such as art projects, drawing, pretend play, fort building, and sewing, library visits, light academic enrichment, cooking dinner, supervising mealtimes, and handling baths and bedtime routines. Household duties include laundry for the children and parents, kitchen cleanup, meal prep, errands and grocery runs, tidying play areas, and resetting the home for the next morning, all while collaborating smoothly with the existing housekeeper. The ideal candidate has solid experience with children ages 5 to 12, strong multitasking and communication skills, reliable cooking ability or comfort following recipes, and genuine initiative to anticipate needs rather than wait to be asked, with a background in early childhood development preferred. Candidates must also hold a valid California driver's license, have reliable transportation, be confident driving and parking in busy city conditions, and be comfortable in a multi-story home with a small senior dog.
