Schedule: Sunday through Wednesday Nights, 7:00PM–7:00AM (48 Hours/Week)

Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Certified Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) for a private family located in the Madison Park neighborhood of Seattle to provide dedicated overnight care for their two-week-old newborn. This is an immediate-start, approximately eight-week engagement for an NCS who is highly experienced with newborns, confident working independently, and comfortable providing attentive, hands-on care throughout the overnight hours.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting newborns with reflux and establishing healthy sleep routines.

This is an awake overnight position. The NCS must remain awake and fully attentive throughout each shift, providing responsive care to the newborn.

Responsibilities

• Providing attentive, hands-on overnight care for the newborn
• Supporting a newborn with reflux, including appropriate positioning, burping, feeding support, and comfort measures
• Managing nighttime feedings, bottle preparation, and feeding support
• Washing and properly sterilizing bottles and feeding equipment
• Diapering, soothing, and responding promptly to the baby's needs
• Supporting the development of a healthy and age-appropriate sleep routine
• Monitoring sleep and feeding patterns and providing thoughtful updates to the parents
• Maintaining a detailed overnight log documenting feedings, diaper changes, sleep, reflux-related observations, and other relevant information
• Caring for the baby's laundry, including washing, folding, and organizing clothing, linens, and newborn items
• Maintaining an organized nursery and ensuring newborn supplies are clean, organized, and well stocked
• Working collaboratively with the parents to provide consistency of care

Requirements

• Certified Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) certification – Required
• Previous awake overnight newborn care experience
• Experience establishing and supporting newborn sleep routines
• Infant CPR and First Aid certification
• Calm, nurturing, and confident presence
• Ability to work independently and remain fully awake and attentive throughout the overnight shift
• Excellent professional references
• Local Seattle-area candidates preferred
