A family in Cow Hollow is seeking a full-time nanny to care for their two easygoing, active children ages 6 (boy) and 9 (girl) years old. They are in different schools and activities so this person will help mom divide and conquer the afternoon routine. Responsibilities include preparing snacks, organizing the children’s rooms and play areas, walking the dogs, prepping/unpacking backpacks, driving from school to activities, kid laundry, and support with the evening routine (homework help, warming dinner, etc.).

 

The nanny must have flexibility to stay later as needed (for example, if mom is working late, school meeting, etc.) and be willing to occasionally work in Napa on the weekends. Their preferred candidate is a native Spanish speaker, fun and upbeat, and very professional. It’s important this person enjoy being active and comfortable engaging with the kids in physical activity (running, scootering, biking, playing soccer/basketball, etc.).

Experience Requirements

  • 2 years minimum experience working as a nanny with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

  • Native Spanish speaker (required; kids are fluent)
  • English fluency

Qualifications

  • COVID-vaccinated + ideally boosted
  • TB and Tdap vaccine
  • CPR Certified
  • Valid driver with clean record (family provides household vehicle for work-related driving)
  • Native Spanish speaker
  • Upbeat, fun, happy disposition; young at heart
  • Active and physically able to keep up with young children (i.e., comfortable running, scootering, biking, engaging in sports)

Responsibilities

  • Dividing and conquering the kids’ afternoon schedules with mom
  • Walking the dogs before school pick up
  • Organizing kids’ items / areas including their desks, closets, bathrooms, playrooms, etc. (they have a housekeeper and chef so there’s no deep cleaning or cooking)
  • Kids’ laundry
  • Prepping for afterschool activities; making sure sports equipment and snacks are prepared and packed
  • Helping with dinnertime
  • Empty backpacks, prepping them for the next day
  • Homework help
  • Support with evening routine
