We are assisting a private family of four in Ham Lake, Minnesota, with the placement of a capable and organized Housekeeper/Family Assistant to support the smooth day-to-day operation of their 7,000-square-foot home. The family has two teenage children, ages 15 and 16, and is seeking a dependable professional who can balance household management and organization with occasional family assistance.

The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, and comfortable taking ownership of household responsibilities, from maintaining a well-organized home and managing laundry to coordinating errands, grocery shopping, meal preparation, and occasional transportation for the children. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys creating an orderly, welcoming home while providing practical support to a busy family.

Both live-in and live-out arrangements will be considered. Private, furnished accommodations, including a private bedroom and bathroom, are available for a live-in candidate. This is a wonderful opportunity for a professional seeking a stable, long-term position with a private family.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the residence to a high standard, including full-charge housekeeping, detailed cleaning, and overall household organization
• Manage laundry, linens, clothing care, and general household upkeep
• Plan weekly menus, prepare shopping lists, and prepare simple, healthy meals for the family
• Shop for groceries, household supplies, and other items as needed
• Provide occasional transportation for the children
• Assist with the general care and needs of the family's two dogs
• Assist with errands and day-to-day household tasks
• Assist with packing and unpacking for family travel, ensuring clothing and personal items are organized and ready
• Help maintain an orderly, well-stocked, and smoothly functioning home
• Provide pet care assistance for the family's two dogs as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience in a private household or comparable housekeeping role
• Strong full-charge housekeeping skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Comfortable with menu planning, grocery shopping, and basic cooking
• Highly organized, trustworthy, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Proactive, flexible, and attentive to the needs of the household
• Professional demeanor with a strong commitment to discretion and confidentiality
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle
• Excellent private service references
