A warm, fun-loving and busy family of (four plus grandparents!) is looking for an experienced full-time nanny to become a long-term part of their family team. Newly relocated, they had to leave their beloved long term nanny behind and are hoping to establish a similarly lasting relationship in the Harbor Bay neighborhood of Bay Farm Island..

The family has two young children: a curious, playful 3 ½ year-old who loves Legos, puzzles, cars, trains, and trips to the library, and a cheerful infant who is beginning to explore new developmental milestones. This family would welcome support with sleep training as they have struggled to get the baby on a routine. Their older child attends preschool, and the family would appreciate help with drop-offs and pick-ups. The preschool is five minutes down the road and the nanny will need to use their own car (with reimbursement for mileage). Both parents work full-time - one in engineering and the other as a physician. They are looking for a nanny who can work collaboratively with them while taking primary responsibility for the children's daily care. The paternal grandparents also share the home for a significant portion of the year. They are very close with the children and may occasionally help with things such as preparing lunch, although their presence varies because they travel frequently. The family would appreciate a nanny who is comfortable in a multigenerational household, communicates openly and respectfully with everyone, and can navigate family dynamics with warmth, professionalism, and confidence.

The family's parenting philosophy is gentle and nurturing while maintaining clear, consistent boundaries. They value helping their children feel heard and included in age-appropriate decisions while also following through on expectations and using positive reinforcement. A Montessori-inspired approach to learning and play is especially appreciated. Their previous nanny had a preschool background and incorporated structured, developmentally appropriate activities into the children's daily routines, which the family found very valuable. They would love to find someone who enjoys planning engaging activities, encouraging curiosity, and supporting early learning through play, exploration, reading, and hands-on experiences. The family takes a screen-free approach to childcare very seriously and is looking for a nanny who is present, engaged, and intentional about limiting phone use while on the job. They appreciate proactive communication and would welcome a nanny who can provide regular updates about the children's activities, feedings, naps, and developmental progress, including through a baby-tracking app.

The ideal candidate will have at least 4-5 years of relevant professional childcare experience, with strong hands-on experience caring for both infants and preschool-aged children. Experience with infant development, age-appropriate activities, feeding transitions, and sleep routines is particularly important. The family is looking for someone who is safety-conscious, nurturing, organized.

Their older child has asthma/reactive airways and takes a daily inhaler, allergy medication, and vitamins, so the nanny should be comfortable administering these according to the parents' instructions. English fluency is essential, while Mandarin or Tagalog would be a welcome bonus but is not required.

The family also has three small senior dogs, ages 14, 8, and 7, who are an important part of the household. They may bark initially when meeting someone new but are friendly and affectionate once comfortable. The dogs are generally kept in a separate gated area, and the family would appreciate help letting them in and out for potty breaks and keeping their food and water bowls filled. A genuine love of dogs is important, and someone who enjoys giving these little companions affection will be an especially wonderful fit.

The home is located in a walkable neighborhood with nearby playgrounds, bayside trails and outdoor spaces for the children to explore. Driving is required for preschool transportation and local outings, so the family is looking for a candidate with a valid driver's license, a safe driving record, and confidence driving locally. Vehicle arrangements are still being determined, and mileage reimbursement will be provided when the nanny uses their own vehicle for work, in accordance with applicable requirements.

The family is hoping to find someone who can become a trusted, long-term partner in their children's care and development over the coming years. They value strong communication, flexibility, consistency, and a collaborative approach, and are excited to welcome a nanny who will bring warmth, thoughtful structure, and a genuine love of working with young children to their family team.
