A family in Orinda seeks a patient, loving, kind nanny for their three children, with infant care at the heart of the role. With the two older children (7 and 4) in school each day, the nanny leads care for the baby, about 4.5 months old, through the school day, and all three children are home in the mornings and late afternoons. The oldest has Rett Syndrome and is bright, social, and incredibly intuitive, with a love for music, books, and new foods. The parents provide hands-on training for physical support and oral medication, and experience with Rett Syndrome is welcome but not required.

The position is Monday to Friday with 45 to 50 guaranteed hours per week, depending on the schedule chosen (preferred: 7:30 am to 5:30 pm). Compensation is $97,760 to $109,200 per year, overtime included, through legal W-2 payroll, with 40 hours paid sick time, 8 paid holidays and a family vehicle while on shift.
