Inside Their World: A loving, active, faith filled family is seeking a warm, proactive nanny to care for their 6-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter and be a supportive presence in their home.
Their 6-year-old son is outgoing, curious, and has a strong connection with his Christian faith. He loves sports, playing outside, learning about animals and nature, exploring military history, and being read to. He is always on the move and enjoys engaging in activities that nurture his love of learning.
Their daughter is affectionate, spirited, and imaginative. She enjoys sensory activities, playing with her toy kitchen, dressing up, and spending time outdoors in her playhouse and sandbox. She thrives with a caregiver who enjoys playing alongside her and encourages her creativity and curiosity.
Both children have food allergies and dietary needs that require thoughtful attention and consistency. Their son has allergies to shellfish and eggs, while their daughter has allergies to nuts, seeds, eggs, and dairy, along with additional sensitivities that require careful adherence to her dietary needs. She also experiences eczema and benefits from attentive care. The ideal nanny will be extremely attentive and vigilant when it comes to food preparation, allergen awareness, and following the family’s established guidelines to support both children’s safety and well-being.
Family Environment: Faith, health, and intentional living are central to this family’s daily life. Mom and Dad describe their parenting style as warm, supportive, and authoritative, with clear expectations and consistent boundaries tailored to each child’s age and developmental needs. They value open communication, helping the children understand the reasoning behind rules, and guiding them through challenges while encouraging independence and problem-solving. They embrace a holistic lifestyle centered on health and wellness, including nutritious whole-food meals and mindful living. They value a nanny who is comfortable supporting their parenting approach and respecting the role faith and wellness play in their daily lives.
Both children are homeschooled, and the family prioritizes meaningful connection and creating a childhood that is rooted in learning, play, and family time. They value opportunities for their children to explore their interests, develop new skills, and learn through everyday experiences. Screen time is limited, and they hope to find a nanny who is present, engaged, and intentional with their interactions with the family.
This is a lively family who enjoys spending time together at home and exploring the community. They love seasonal activities, church events, and outings to the Cleveland Metroparks, zoo, botanical garden, and aquarium.
Who Thrives Here:
Their ideal nanny is personable, energetic, and reliable, with a genuine enjoyment of engaging with children and building meaningful relationships. The family values someone who is proactive, able to anticipate needs, and comfortable managing responsibilities independently while respecting the parents’ preferences and expectations. A love of learning, creative play, and outdoor exploration will be especially valuable in this home.
The right candidate will communicate openly, exercise sound judgment, and take pride in maintaining an organized and supportive environment. This person is comfortable collaborating with Mom, adapting to changing priorities, and balancing attentive childcare with light household assistance. A shared appreciation for the family’s Christian faith and healthy lifestyle is important, and experience managing food allergies is highly valued.
Daily Rhythm:
The nanny will first and foremost provide attentive care for both children simultaneously while also accommodating Mom’s desire to spend one-on-one time with each child individually, and help create a day filled with meaningful activities, learning opportunities, and play. The ideal candidate will partner with the family to help manage the childcare and light household duties, and they will be comfortable becoming Mom’s second set of hands.
Responsibilities include planning fun, educational, age-appropriate activities, preparing simple, healthy meals and snacks for the children with careful attention to their dietary restrictions, cleaning up after meals, putting away food-related items, and tidying up the kitchen. Additional duties include managing laundry, loading and unloading the dishwasher, emptying the diaper pail, restocking diaper stations and the diaper bag, and keeping the common areas tidy and organized.
